Who needs Perfection?

May 31, 2010 by Natasha

Three months ago I went to the dentist with some teeth niggles.  The first thing she said was “Let’s see if you brush your teeth properly.”  I instantly giggled and replied “I certainly hope I know how to brush my teeth, I’ve been doing it for over 30 years.”

It wasn’t long before I wished I’d kept my remark to myself, as it seemed my brushing habits were far from supporting my teeth and gums.   The leftover red ointment clearly marked the plaque on my teeth and I was promptly shown the correct way to brush.

That night I followed the Dentist’s advice and I have to say, the new way of brushing wasn’t as easy as it looked.  At times it could be quite awkward and I really needed to focus my attention on what I was doing.  Nevertheless, I did the best I could, often feeling as though I was never going to master it. It wasn’t long before, I had completely forgotten about the new way of brushing until I went back to the dentist on Tuesday.

As soon as I sat down the Dentist said “Ok Natasha, let’s see if you’ve been brushing your teeth properly”.  I squirmed in the chair, certain there wouldn’t be an improvement, kicking myself that I didn’t try harder. I was handed a mirror and sheepishly opened my mouth.  To my amazement there was very little red ointment showing plaque on my teeth.  I couldn’t believe the improvement.  They weren’t perfect but who needs perfection on your first attempt, all that mattered was they had improved.

I felt so proud, a big smile beamed from my face and strangely, I felt like I’d achieved something.  Just then, it dawned on me that there were some wise lessons I could share with Nadine and you, my loyal circle.

1. You are always doing the best you can with the resources you’ve got.  If you want to improve in any area, find someone to teach you what you don’t know

2. New habits aren’t easy to form.  At first, it seems like hard work but with effort, focus and repetition, even the hardest habits can be kicked and new habits become effortless

3. You don’t have to be perfect to make a difference.  By taking, what my Mentor calls ‘Imperfect Action’, you get the ball rolling.  It may not seem like you’re making a difference on the surface but underneath things are changing.  Doing a bit of something imperfectly is much better than doing nothing.  Doing nothings keeps you stagnant and who wants that!

I hope you enjoyed today’s tips, feel free to email me with anything you want to share :)

Until tomorrow,

Love,

Natasha

What’s keeping you stuck?

May 30, 2010 by Natasha

Yesterday I told you about Katharine, the person who said I was selling myself short and playing small.  I took notice of her opinion because she is exactly where I want to be in my life and business and if anyone is going to help me take the next vital step, it’s her.

I was keen to stop selling myself short, so asked the Universe for some answers and opened the channels for the guidance and inspiration to come through.  Thankfully, it didn’t take too long, take a read of what happened nex

Inspiration – “Natasha you should clear some clutter at home”

Natasha – “Yes good idea, a clear out always helps to focus”

Inspiration – “Natasha you’ve got lots of shoes and handbags you don’t use, take a look at those”

Natasha – “Yes that’s a great idea”

Inspiration – “Gosh look at all this stuff you never use, maybe you should take them to the second hand designer shop you keep seeing and never go in”

Natasha – “Oh yes that’s handy, I do keep looking at that shop every time I drive past, maybe they would buy these off me”

Inspiration – “Yes Natasha on Monday take them to the shop, you don’t need them anymore”

Natasha – “Oh but it’s such a shame I spent so much money on these things and they’re a reminder of when…….” within seconds I was crying again.  I knew exactly what was stuck in my vibration, keeping me small.

The shoes and handbags were in my life before I became consciously aware of who I was and my life’s purpose.  And even though I didn’t wear them, they were still in my house holding on to the old Natasha’s vibration.  It all made sense and I knew I was going to continue to play small until I let the remnants of the old me out of my life.

On Monday, I took the shoes and handbags to the designer shop, surprisingly they’ll give me € 500 when they’re all sold.  I cried again.  Not only had I cleared my vibration but I was getting paid to do it, WOW I love the Universe!

So here’s the message for you today.  What are you holding in your vibration that is preventing you from taking your next step to greatness.  Nadine will have to take a real good look into this area because this could make or break her business.

I hope you’ve enjoyed today’s installment, let me know if it helped!

Love,

Natasha

P.S. Tomorrow I’m going to give you the insight I had at the dentist, I know, the dentist of all places!  Until then, have fun!

P.P.S. I just remembered a book I read 2 years ago ‘Trust your Vibes by Sonia Choquette’, I flicked through it and this is the first thing I read, I think the message is for you :)

“Don’t hold onto things for sentimental reasons or because you might need it one day.  This will just bog you down and cause you to miss the higher, lighter energies of spirit.  Ruthlessly go through your stuff and get rid of everything that doesn’t feel positive.  And remember as long as we hold onto things, they hold onto us”

Wow, I’ve gotta read that book again!

Where’s your Mindset?

May 28, 2010 by Natasha

Whenever you want to bring something new into your life, it’s important to start by changing your current mindset.

The person you are right now, only has the mindset to achieve your current lifestyle.  In Nadine’s case, if she wants to start her own full time business, she first needs to transition her mindset from being an employee to being a business owner.  If not she’ll get stuck at first base and her fears and doubts will stop her from upgrading her life.

A great way to transition this particular mindset is by stepping into the shoes of the YOU, you want to become.  How does the new you think, feel and act?  Write it down.

Now imagine you as you are today, put both of you side by side and take a good look at the differences between you both.  What changes do you need to make to the current you, before you can step into the new you? Write it down.

Next, choose one of those change and commit to transforming that part of you.

There are other mindset shifts that Nadine (and you) will need to make, here are 3 of them

1. You want results yesterday

This is very common. When you’ve decided to go for it, the impatience sets in and you want results yesterday and for very good reason.  The vibration of impatience is very low, so when you are in this emotion, you will attract more of the same low vibration.  This definitely isn’t what you want!  Instead you want to Practice Patience, to allow you’re unfolding to happen in the right and perfect way.

Mindset Shift # 1: Practice Patience

2. You need to do more courses, read more books, listen to more audios, watch more videos….

I believe that stepping into your greatness requires you to do all these things.  However, are you truly implementing these new learnings into your life?  If not, why not? I can almost bet, as soon as you finish one book you’re onto the next.  When you start down this path, you’re thirst for information is so high, it’s easy to forget you need to take action on what you’ve learned for change to occur.

Mindset Shift # 2: Implement what you have learned before you move on to the next book, course, video etc

3. You can make the transition on your own

Whilst Nadine has a great talent, she needs to be aware that the small her will always overtake the big her, unless she enlists the expertise of those who can take her to the next level.  In my case, I have a Business Mentor, a Personal Coach and someone who helps me with my inner healing (plus accountability and support partners).  My business and I wouldn’t be where we are without them.

Mindset Shift # 3: For true change to occur, you need to invest in yourself and find someone who can help you achieve your dreams and aspirations

There is so much more I could go into here, but it would take more than email.  I hope this has given you a little insight today.

Before I go, I want to give you a sneak peak of what to expect tomorrow.

I was speaking to someone last week who really tested my mindset.  She asked where I was in my business and feeling very proud I told her what I was up to.  Her reply was “Natasha when are you going to stop the ‘small you’ from preventing the ‘big you’ from stepping up?”

My immediate defensive response was ”but I’m doing so well and I’m really happy with what I’ve produced so far, of course there is always room for improvement but…”

She stopped me in my tracks and replied “Natasha, I know you are capable of so much more, stop selling yourself short and take a look at what is keeping you small”.

Within a few seconds I was in tears because I knew she was right.  I had to take a real good look at what was stuck in my vibration keeping me small…..

Look out for tomorrow’s email If you want to know what was in my vibration keeping me small.

I’d love to hear your thoughts!

Love,

Natasha

Tips, Tricks and Tools coming you’re way!

May 14, 2010 by Natasha

Today is a great day!  I was surfing the internet for my Sister, Nadine’s birthday present and couldn’t decide what to get her.  So rather than get frustrated, I closed my eyes, took a deep breathe and came up with a brilliant idea!

She recently went on a course learning how to bake novelty cakes, with the aim of starting a part time business alongside her full time job.  And my goodness me, she really has an amazing talent.

Within a matter of weeks orders are flying off the shelf and she’s even getting bookings for next year; one of which includes baking a special cake for 400 people!!  I am such a proud big sister!

Nadine can’t believe how quickly the business has taken off and more importantly, she can’t believe it took her so long to sign up for the course.

I, on the other hand, know exactly why it took so long!  I also know that it took some great coaching from yours truly, before she began to see herself and her life in a way that allowed her to take this step.

Now she’s tuned into her unique gifts, it won’t be long before she’ll want to give up her day job to focus on her cake baking. But when you have the security of a monthly income, there’s a certain amount of trust, faith and confidence you need before you’ll take this kind of risk.

So, I thought it would be greatly beneficial, if I gave Nadine the very best tips, tricks and tools that I use with my clients.  That way I can help her upgrade her life, so she ‘Steps Up’ to becoming a successful business owner sooner rather than later.

Ok, so, let me tell you why it’s a great day!

It’s a great day because I’m going to share the same tips, tricks and tools with you, my loyal circle, over the coming days.

I’m really quite excited because this last week, I have had to ‘Step Up’ AGAIN!  And, in doing so, the new opportunities, abundance and prosperity that has been coming my way is nothing short of AMAZING!

So, keep your eyes on your inbox and let me know what you think.

Here’s to your Brilliant Future!

Love,

Natasha

P.S. I’m going to be making a very special announcement in the next week or so. This means some of you will Step Up, Stand Out and Be Recognised sooner than you had anticipated
